I met Jupiter Project at a party in Hollywood a few years ago. We really hit it off and decided to collaborate on some visuals. This is the 3rd Music Video we've done together, and all 3 have aired on some division of MTV. This video for the remake of the Temptations classic, "My Girl" was extremely fun to make and features some awesome choreography by Hana Tanaka and Isaac Uhlenberg. It was shot on a Red Epic by DP Jesse Aragon.Read More
I work with Youtuber, MyLifeAsEva quite a bit, and she is definitely one of my favorite people to collaborate with! "Literally My Life" was the first project we did together, and I was really happy with how it turned out. We had a great cast and crew, and it was shot on a Sony A7s with an Atomos Shogun. Take a look!
A couple of years ago I met Jupiter Project at a party at The Roosevelt. We got along great, and made plans to work together in the future. A few months later, they reached out about a music video for the song, "With You". After falling in love with it, and bouncing some ideas back and forth, I ended up shooting it here in LA (except for one scene that included them, back in New Zealand).
I teamed up with my friend Tom Taugher, an awesome DP based here in LA, and we ended up shooting it over the course of a couple of days. It was shot on a Red Epic and we used lots of slow motion. I also linked up with the extremely talented skater and youtuber, Christopher Chann who lends his skating skills in this video.
I’ve been the in-house photographer for The Hollywood Patch House since it opened earlier this year. When a touring band or artist passes through LA and stays at the house, I come by for a quick, fun photoshoot. The pictures then go up on social media for the artist, as well as for The Sour Patch Kids brand. It's a great opportunity to create new content, meet new people, and develop my skills as a photographer.
On July 3, MAX was staying at The Patch House. Super cool and talented guy (check out his latest music video "Basement Party" here). Upstairs there’s a studio with a very large window. For this first one, I drew the thin, white curtain over to diffuse the light, then simply angled him for a rembrandt-esque lighting look (not too contrasty). I really like how these two turned out!
